As you know, the embossed stamps we are after are the blue embossed revenue and duty stamps, but we can still show you what these stamps slowly evolved into at the turn of the 1900s.

One Pound General Revenue Stamp from Great Britain.

This old one penny stamp has an inked cancel that reads Co and has the numbers 12 09 24 and is on blue envelope paper.

This one from above is November 21, 1911, and laid with deep red ink that says AGENTS as a type of cancel.

This above image shows the numbers 09 26 1895 or September 25 1895.

It says 25 10 11, guessing September 10, 1911.

These are a unique type of stamp that have still been pressed, and showcase the dates in the form of days, months, years, but sometimes it is tricky to tell which order they fall in.
